Top Reasons to Upgrade to Renogy Heated Batteries
DuoHeat Tech
Auto-Heating
Power Efficient
Longer Lifespan

Faster Access to Power

Featuring 110W of dual-heating power for double the efficiency, DuoHeat Tech allows Core Mini 12V 100Ah to warm up 40% faster and reach a ready-to-charge state from -22°F (-30°C) in just 60 minutes. Your adventure doesn't stop for winter.

Warmth at the Right Time

Renogy's self-heating batteries can heat up in advance to prevent cells from freezing and trigger low-temperature charging protection. And the heating only turns off once the cell temperature is well above freezing for stable operation.

Heating Without the Drain

Unlike batteries that drain themselves to heat up, Renogy's heated LFP batteries use power from your charger. This means all your battery's power is saved for your off-grid life, guaranteeing full runtime and optimal performance even in cold conditions.

Power for a Decade

Don't let cold weather kill your batteries. Renogy's self-heating LiFePO4 batteries last far longer—10x longer than lead-acid and 1.6x longer than standard lithium—saving you from constant replacements and offering decade-long power in winter months.

Why Switch to Heated Batteries?
Experience self-heated lithium power that requires minimal care and brings peace of mind in freezing temperatures.
Easiness
Safety
Renogy cold weather battery turns on/off heating automatically based on real-time cell
Manual insulation/enclosure demands constant watching over and efforts to keep cells from freezing.
With integrated heating elements, Renogy heated batteries can safely charge at temperatures down to -4°F (-20°C).
Charging non-heated lithium batteries in the cold can cause dendrites that can lead to short circuits and even thermal runaway.

Ths will be my third such battery. I am using it off grid in my cabin with 4- 200 watt Renegy panels, a Renogy charge controller and Renogy 2000 watt inverter. I will soon add another 200 watt panel. I am getting great service from my installation. I hardly ever have to start my generator. Once I install my fifth panel I plan on operating my 100 watt refrigerator on it and stop using propane. I recommend the Renogy product to all my friends and fellow cabin owners.

SYLVAIN

Just had a chance to put my Renogy Batteries (Core 12V 300Ah LifeP04) to work in my recent trip to our cabin! It powers my Victron Multi Plus II 12 volt\3000 watts inverter!Overall, I’m very happy with their performances. Easy to installed and to plugin to! In short, simple design with no gadgets. Happy customer.

Frequently Asked Questions

When Do I Need a Self-Heating Battery?

While standard lithium batteries stop charging at 32°F (0°C), most Renogy self-heating batteries can charge at temperatures down to -4°F (-20°C). This ensures uninterrupted power during winter storms, cold snaps, and freezing conditions when you need it most.

Under what circumstances might a 12V 100Ah heated battery fail to function?

If the cell temperature drops below 32°F (0°C), the battery's low-temperature charging protection will enable and stop your battery from charging. To address this issue, ensure a charge current is present to activate the heating feature or move it to a warmer location. Once the cell temperature reaches 32°F (0°C), charging will resume.

What’s the difference between outside temperature and cell temperature?

• Outside temperature is the battery's ambient temperature, like 14°F (-10°C) outdoors.
• Cell temperature is the battery's internal temperature. It changes more slowly than the outside temperature.

For example, if you bring a cold battery indoors, the cell temperature will take some time to warm up. The cell temperature is what determines whether the battery can function.

Are Renogy heated batteries compatible with my solar setup?

Renogy self-heating batteries integrate seamlessly with most standard solar equipment. While it works with conventional charge controllers and inverters, using LiFePO4-compatible chargers ensures optimal performance and longevity. Our technical support team and comprehensive installation guides help you maximize your system's potential with minimal hassle.

Does the battery support Bluetooth or other monitoring features?

It depends on models. A few Renogy LiFePO4 batteries are equipped with Bluetooth, allowing you to track real-time battery status, current usage, and overall health using the Renogy App. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about selecting the right cold weather battery.
