Hi all! I converted my 2018 Minnie Winnie 27A to solar during the COVID shutdowns. 600W on the roof, 400ah lithium batteries, 3000W inverter, and DC-DC charger in the old battery bay. It was a challenge to find wire routing pathways. I keep with Renogy to keep consistent between items. So far zero issues in 5 years.

My Ren themed van aptly empowered by Renogy. My van was inspired and is themed on the music of Ren. So it only seemed appropriate that it was powered by Renogy.

Off-grid AC at its best. The old unit drew 155 amps, 1900 W from the battery bank through the inverter. Now the current comes straight from the battery, leaving more room and improving overall efficiency, drawing only 540 W at 38 amps. With the 800Ah battery, we can run for over two and a half days if needed. Absolutely thrilled!

Change of Plan
I’ve been using a mix of engine and solar charging on our little bumble around Europe - on overcast and dark days the power cut off for solar has ensured that I get the full 50amps from the engine through the MPPT DC-DC charger. Have found hook up several times and the winter sun has been great for a little float.

At the beginning of the trip, I had two 100w Renogy panels mounted on top of my hard shell roof top tent. A few weeks ago I switched over to a 200w ShadowFlux panel for better performance in shady camping situations.

It’s been 14 months since installing solar in my shed. 100% uptime, very happy with Renogy equipment, makes recharging all my electric tools easy.

I can’t speak for other Renogy products since we’ve only used their solar panels, but honestly, I have nothing bad to say.
