100 Watt Eclipse Solar Suitcase w/o Controller

Well built, easy to use. Nice padded carrying case. Haven't used it a lot yet. When I tried it out I saw 95 watts charge rate in early morning sun, may not have been positioned perfectly. No regrets re this purchase. I had shopped around and Renogy had the best deal for this type of item.

    EFFICACITY

Posted by Daniel Pop on Apr 9th 2023

This panel is awesome. I got 109 watts from it I love it. It is more easy to break it though as there isn't any glass on it and could be a pain to clean without scratching it

Awesome product value on the 100W Eclipse Solar Suitcase

Posted by Rodney M. on Nov 11th 2021

I bought this panel so I can recharge my batteries that I need to supply electricity to my propane heater for a mini-camping trailer I use in remote wilderness areas. I'm an electrical engineer and am experimenting with various solar charge controllers for both SLA and LiFePO4 batteries, and may eventually build my own using an Arduino processor. I'm totally impressed with the performance and value of this panel. It is well built and the panel is easy to setup and comes with a quality padded case to protect it. What I found especially impressive is the 100W specification was easily achieved in less than ideal conditions for the panel I received - in other words, it is an honest specification with margin for variances in cell production and in-use operating conditions. I decided to run SAE 2-wire to my trailer so I bought an inexpensive converter cable (MC4 to SAE Adapter - 10 AWG). This is my first Renogy product experience and I'm impressed. I've already started recommending it to others I know with confidence.

    100 watt suitcase review

Bought the Renorgy 190 watt suit case folding solar panel. Well made with a good case. Should last long time. Got to suplament my 2 -100 watt Renorgy fixed panels for when in a shady area with a 40 foot cord connected to a Renorgy 50 watt DC/DC charge controler. It's a little heavy but very durable.

100 Watt Eclipse Foldable Solar Suitcase

I've recently purchased 2 of them. I prefer to have 2 smaller solar panels than just one of 200 Watts. Renogy products always seem to be of high quality and those solar panels are well made, sturdy and perform very well as well. So far - I'm very happy with the product! I recommend them to averyone. 6 stars!!!

    Great portable Solar Panel!

Posted by Roman on Jul 7th 2021

This solar panel is definitely not for permanent solar installations! For everything else - it is great! Esthetic, sturdy, efficient, relatively small and light. The Solar Suitcase is small enough to fit in any car; in the trunk or on the back or even front seat. This version doesn't come with any charge controller however this may be a benefit to some users. You can couple 2 or even 3 100 Watt panels using 3-to-1 (or 2 to 1) Solar Branch Connector and then connect it to one 20 Amp Renogy Voyager Controller. I have to admit that for most practical applications you need 2 or more 100 Watt Solar Suitcases. If space is not an issue buying a 200 Watt version may make more sense although that Solar Suitcase is much bigger and heavier! Your choice... So far I give it 6 out of 5 stars! (smile)
