12V 40A DC to DC On-Board Battery Charger Setup

Learn how to connect your Renogy 12V DC to DC On-Board Battery Charger to a starter battery and a deep cycle battery for charging. Use the provided 40 amp charger, along with separate cables for the batteries and a 16 gauge wire for the D plus signal input. Consider purchasing the optional temperature sensor for automatic voltage adjustment based on battery temperature. Set the battery type using the switches on the unit's side. Once everything is connected and the correct battery type is selected, the charger will start charging the deep-cycle battery when the vehicle is running. The power indicator will show green when charging. Enjoy safe charging from your vehicle's alternator with this setup.
