Please Note:

● Due to its own chemical characteristics, lithium batteries are not allowed to be charged below 0°C. Therefore, if you choose a lithium battery without internal heating function, it is normal that the lithium battery cannot be charged below 0℃ for safety reasons. Therefore, we recommend that you do not discharge the battery for a long time below 0℃, which will possibly lead to over discharge of the battery.
● If the battery's Battery Management System (BMS) is activated and the battery voltage shows 0V, you must use a compatible Li charger to reactivate this battery.
● Make sure to screw in the battery terminals tightly. Loose battery terminals will cause heat build-up and cause damage to the battery.
● DO NOT string these batteries in series. They are made ONLY for wiring in parallel using identical batteries.

1.Can you recommend a solar charge controller for this 50Ah battery ?
When purchasing a solar charge controller, you must confirm that the controller is compatible with the lithium-iron phosphate battery. The Renogy Adventurer Li, Rover Li, and Wanderer Li charge controllers are all fully compatible with our lithium-iron phosphate batteries.
2. Can this battery be combined with a 12V lead acid battery bank ?
We highly recommend NOT stringing lithium batteries to any lead acid batteries. Otherwise, the battery will be damaged. When wiring batteries, it's recommended to connect batteries with the same type (lithium), same capacity (Ah), same voltage (V) from the same brand.
3. Can I connect multiple batteries in series to build a 24V, 36V, or 48V system ?
No, you can't. These Renogy 12V 50Ah lithium batteries do NOT support connecting in series. They are made ONLY for connecting in parallel using identical batteries, same type (lithium), same capacity (Ah), same voltage (V), same brand (Renogy.
4. Can I use any 12V battery charger to charge this battery or does it have to be a specialized lithium charger?
You need to use a battery charger compatible with Lithium-Iron Phosphate deep cycle batteries to charge this battery, or it will be damaged. Renogy's 12V DC-DC and AC-DC battery chargers all support charging Lithium batteries, you can visit our website for more information.
5. Can I leave this battery in cold weather? I live in my van and this battery will be in the cold. I was wondering if the cold will affect it ?
This Renogy battery has different operating temperature ranges for charging and discharging. The operating temperature for discharging is -4℉~140℉ / -20℃~60℃. The operating temperature range for charging is 32℉~113℉ / 0℃~45℃. For optimal performance, we recommend using this battery at 73.4 ± 9℉ / 23 ± 5℃.
6. Which capacity should I purchase for a minivan build? 50Ah or 100Ah? I'll be using it to run a 12V fridge, laptops, small TV, etc ?

7. What should I do when I receive the battery?
When you receive your battery, please be aware that it may have a low State of Charge (SOC) due to the transportation and storage process. To ensure its optimal performance, we recommend charging the battery right away to avoid over-discharge. If you plan to store the battery for an extended period without usage, we suggest charging it to a SOC of 30% to 50% and performing maintenance every three months. These steps will help maintain its functionality and performance over time.

    Excellent battery for RC/Drone field charging

    I've been using this battery for 3 months and I love it. It's the perfect combination of weight and power for charging RC/drone batteries in the field. It's much lighter than lead acid and you don't have to worry about storage voltage like LIPO. Much cheaper to invest in one of these than to buy a bunch of different batteries for all your planes/helis/drones and just charge between flights. I've recommended it to many people at my club.

    Replacement battery

    I replaced the lead-acid AGM battery in my 2017 Chevrolet Bolt with this battery. It has been in for a few days now and so far so good, looks like it is a straight replacement. The ECU shows it is at 13 volts which should be enough to keep it charged. Time will tell if I have made the right move, but I think I have.

    50 Ah 12v Battery

    So far so good. I use this battery in a small solar generator setup. A 120w panel with a 1100w modified sine inverter and this battery. I use it to complement my boondocking camping. Using the panel as pass-through charging it can handle 6 hours of crockpot cooking. It also charges my 18v power tool batteries on a non serviced remote work site. The whole thing fits into a medium size toolbox. Expect the panel.

    Small but powerful, the installation is for a 12v refrigerator/freezer in my overland setup. Went from agm 2 days of backup to 5 days. Petit mais puissant! La batterie est pour mon camion d’overland. Je suis parti de AGM avec 2 jours d’autonomies et un poids de 68lbs, à 5 jours 15lbs !

    Je suis très satisfait de cet achat.Je m’en suis servi avec un moteur électrique d’une poussée de 46 les,et la charge a duré 6 heures.Le poids de cette batterie à 14.6 lbs comparé à 50 ou 60 livres pour les batteries conventionnelles en fait le meilleur allié du pêcheur.

    Merveilleux, encore 13 volts apres 7 jours sur mon CPAP donc encore capable pour plusieurs jours, Recharger apres 45 minutes avec le chargeur Renogy 20 A. (le CPAP sans humidification)
