Great service, great product

I purchased three 100 watt slim panels to use on a MPPT controller while camping. I ended up splitting this into a 200 watt and and 100 watt system.
The 200 watt setup sustained 190 watts of power for several hours while charging. I was happy as previously owned panels could not sustain a charge rate of half the system rating.
The 100 watt system was not a MPPT controller and the panel was placed poorly, but even then functioned adequately. The poor performance was entirely installation and using a far cheaper and less trusted charge controller.
I highly recommend Renogy for their reliable product and excellent customer service experience.

I am very impressed with the quality of these panels, especially since they are going on top of an overlanding vehicle.

Great little system

I just finished installing the panel and charger on my RV. The system is actually very simple and direct. The brackets for the panel should come with instructions for people who don't put a lot of things together. Installation is straight forward, as for how well it works, time will tell.

Using in conjunction with a 40 amp Commander and two 100 amp slim to start with. 100 amp panels are mobile for optimum positioning when parked. Planning to add two 160 amp for permanent mount on roof.

I love the solar system from Renogy!
My only issue is with the Bluetooth dongle connecting, it is difficult and requires multiple attempts to get it to connect.
Once connected it works great but then it disconnects and requires another reconnect attempt:(

Well made, solid frame, low profile. Output even on a hazy day was nearly 75% of rated!

This is number 6 on my renovation panels, they work great and I'll keep on buying a couple every year until my roof is covered.
Off the grid solar powered cabin project.

Very pleased with the (4) Renogy 12 volt 100 watt slimline solar panels I recently purchased. I look forward to mounting (4) additional panels to my mobile rack in the near future. Thanks for a great product.

I purchased 4 of these panels, shipping was very fast. Ordered on a Saturday, confirmed order Monday and was shipped. Received the panels that Thursday, packing was very well and no damage during shipment. I haven't had a chance to really play with them yet as they are for my remote off grid property.

I'd done alot of research on every brand out there, and came away mostly confused by the negative reviews. I find the negative reviews unfounded now.
1st, the panel arrived 2 days ahead of schedule. (That's actually a bad thing, in this day and age of porch pirates a more accurate delivery date even ahead of schedule, is a must to deter theft. If the package arrives ahead of schedule, it could possibly go unattended for a long time or until stolen. Shipping address is not always a well attended address.)
The panel was well packaged and that was my greatest fear that it was fragile and could never arrive intact. But it did. The panel is actually pretty sturdy and the glass is not as delicate as i'd imagined. I'd guess a good drop, sharp hit, hail etc could damage it but overall fairly sturdy.
I bought the panel as a supplement to my rv batteries. I don't plan for a total solar rv life, for that you'd need an entire roof of panels. I dry camp with very few Necessities, although i have have tv and microwave, i think they negate the reason i went camping in the first place. So my power requirements are minimal. Having said that, on pliminary tests i'm receiving well above 12v at 5.4 amps in direct sunlight, not really orientating the panel for correct angles or shadows. On overcast moments volts were still high but amps dropped to a fluctuating 3-4 amps. These are just pliminary tests in the back yard, i've yet to use it in the field.
So, i'm not a person trying to run an appliance/light from the panel. I'd imagine at that rate one would only get Approximately 60 watts or so from this 100 panel. (Don't Start the argument of 100 Watts from a hundred watt panel? That's research you'll have to do on your own.) and it would constantly fluctuate. Rather i'm just trying to "pour" a little electricity back into the reservoir from which i'm dipping. My electrical needs are minimal anyway. Only lights, stereo, occasionaly furnace and water pump, and what the frig requires for electronics. I run the frig off propane and it consumes an average of about 3/4 of a pound a day. I'd imagine at the rates i'm suggesting i'd eventually run the battery dry, but this gave me a potential extension on battery life.
This panel was not purchased to save money nor the environment but as a supplement to my energy needs. i do have a portable generator, but for those times when prohibited or impractical, i believe the panel will extend my batteries. At present, camping dry i get 3 solid days out of 2 deep cycle batteries. This panel should extend that. All info is so that you may compare your energy needs to what i normally use.
